Seven-year-old girl Leah Carter, from Halifax in West Yorkshire nearly lost her bottom lip after a dog latched itself onto her face and left her with horrific scars for life. SEE MORE PICTURES
Leah's dad, who lived over the road, had seen her walk over to her pal's moments before he heard her scream. He ran to her and tended to her as best as he could before taking her to hospital.
She needed 35 stitches - 20 for her bottom lip and 15 for her cheek.
