Out of the 440 cases of retirement in the state, 12 teachers have died within a period of 10 months, Chairman, Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Dr Stephen Odey revealed this at a workshop in clalabar.
Those who retired include 404 teaching staff, 24 non-teaching staff while 12 teaching and non-teaching staff died in 10 months.

“From October 2015 till date, we have had about 440 cases of retirement and death of teaching and non-teaching staff in primary schools in the state.”
