At least eight people burnt alive in Zamfara over ‘blasphemy’

On Monday at Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara, Zamfara state, following alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammed by a student of the college at least eight people burnt alive

The male student was accused of committing blasphemy during an exchange of words with a Muslim friend, resulting in tension at the school.

A student of the university said when the accused saw the danger to his life, he ran to a house to hide himself.

However, his assailants forcefully gained entrance and set the house ablaze, killing their target and all the seven people inside.
